River Trent - Dunham
Dunham-on-Trent (North of Bridge)
Nearest Sat Nav: NG22 0TY

We have secured the access rights for over a mile of the river Trent (North) at Dunham Bridge from 16th June 2013.
The access rights of just over a mile of the West river bank once held by Sheffield and DAA has not been fished much for 2 years. Our fishing area starts at the big car park under the bridge where you will see our signs at the secured gate and stile. (The E.A. are considering blocking off access to vehicles under the bridge to stop illegal fishing, camping, fires, etc.) It then extends towards Church Laneham and ends just before the pump house around the river bend. We have been requested by the land owner not to take vehicles onto the bank at any time as his livestock were allowed out by previous users but good access on foot runs along the entire length. Apparently there are security cameras under the bridge so your vehicles should be monitored. The best news for many of you will be that our members have been given permission by the land owner to night fish.

Anyone wishing to fish at night must obtain one of our club 'night permits' at a small additional fee.
I know many of you love night fishing so please take great care and for goodness sake don't do anything to upset this agreement.
No fires as per our rules are obvious but other care and behaviour should be maintained at all times please and no litter of any kind. If the cattle eat anything left by anglers on the bank or in the waterside you could be liable for criminal damage.

For direction from Scunthorpe, the most direct route is:-

Leave Scunthorpe on the A18 heading towards Brigg, at Forest Pines roundabout, turn right onto A15 and continue for 26 miles to the roundabout, turn right onto A46 for approx 2 miles. At next roundabout turn right onto A57 (Saxilby Rd) sign posted
Worksop, continuing along side the Fossdyke Canal until you come to fork in road with traffic lights, bear left again signed Worksop, Dunham and Newton. Head towards Dunham Bridge (3 miles).
Go over the Bridge (after paying the small Toll Fee), and drive until you see a sharp turn heading back towards the river, this is Marsh Lane.
Enter here and drive over flood bank where you will find parking.
Do not obstruct any farm entrances or park in the lane as this is used by local buses as a turning point.
